London based model instructor Francis Mathew will be hosting the 1st annual fashion seminar theme "taking it before the runway" on may 19th 2009 at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library.
Time 5.30 to 8.30pm admission is free to the general public. The night will include special guest speakers all related to the fashion and pageant industry and a live fashion show with the top models of the island.
On the night there will be two awards "most fashionable politician" and "most outstanding fashion store in Philipsburg. Beauty queens from the past and present will all be invited to attend so a full night of royalties as these queens will witness the crowning of miss mini future face of St. Maarten. The hall of the library will be transformed in a real runway. Francis is the European version of Mr. Jay Alexander with out the killer heels. Francis has studied the art at Ophelia devour academy in New York and is now a most sought after model instructor in London. He will demonstrate on Tuesday nigh the do and don’ts in the industry; how to walk, talk sit and pose for the cameras. HeeHehe has work with top events in London such as pageants and model search. This seminar is not only for aspiring models but for any one who wants to gain confidence or just want that extra knowledge about looking good. This seminar is an educational program teaching the general public about the industry. The Public will also be free to ask the panel of the industry experts’ question. This will be a seminar of all seminars. Francis says it’s a great pleasure to be back home and to give back to his island. He will bring the house down.
