In connection, with the ongoing Bishop Hill/ Belverdere Project, all traffic in both directions on this road has been closed and rerouted. The date of the closing of this road was announced on April 20th in one of the local newspaper. The reason for the closing of this road is for the construction of a culvert that will eliminate the heavy flow of water over the street during heavy rainfall. Due to the fact that the construction of this culvert had started without proper notification of the public and all necessary documentation not being in place, the Lt. Governor Mr. Franklin has ordered an immediate halt to the construction and immediate reopening of the Bishop hill road
