On Monday, January 7th, 2012 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, GEBE’s technicians successfully upgraded a switch feeding the main cable to the Pointe Blanche, Monte Vista and Back Bay areas. This upgrade should effectively resolve the power supply issues that residents have been experiencing in these areas during the holidays and return the situation to normal. GEBE will continue to monitor the situation.
The situation needed some time to remedy as GEBE needed to trouble shoot the exact cause of the problem, and to exclude other possible causes, such as cables, protection devices and transformers.
GEBE apologizes for any inconvenience that was caused over the holiday season.
