Police Traffic Deptartment relocates
The management of Sint Maarten Police Department is informing the general public, that the Police traffic Department, which operated from the Simpson Bay Police Station has, as of immediately been relocated to the Philipsburg Police Station. Anyone needing assistance from the Police traffic Dept. can reach them at 54-22222 ext. 110. The Police dept.
is also apologizing for any inconvenience this situation may have cost.

Traffic accident
This morning at approximately 11.30 a.m. the Police traffic Dept. was sent to the Walter Nisbeth road for a traffic accident whereby at least one person was injured. On the scene the traffic dept. learned that is was an accident between a motorcycle and the private car. The rider of the motorcycle collided with the private car while it was making a U-turn. As a result of the accident, the rider of the motorcycle suffered several bruises to his arms and other parts of his body. This victim was transported by ambulance to the Sint Maarten Medical center for further treatment. The investigation as to the cause of this accident will soon be finished.
