The Boys’ Brigade Eastern & Southern Regional Fellowship Meeting, which was held on St Maarten, ended on Friday afternoon.
A new Executive Board has been elected with the following positions:
Regional Coordinator: Walter Stewart (Trinidad)
Regional Secretary: Lionel Walker (Antigua)
Regional Treasurer: Sheriff Tobias (Tobago)
Zone Coordinator One: Gerald Peters (Trinidad)
Zone Coordinator Two: James Gumbs (St. Maarten)
Island attended this event were: St. Kitts, Antigua, B.V.I, Trinidad and Tobago, French St. Martin and Dutch St. Maarten.
The Region consists of the following islands:
Zone One:
Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Barbados, Brazil, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago.
Zone Two:
Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten/St. Martin, The Virgin Islands (British and U.S.).
The Region has set a five year plan together (REAFFIRMING OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABLE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT THROUGH STRATEGIC PARNERSHIP & SPIRITUAL GROWTH) and also the constitution are areas that will be closely look at. Therefore the Region will be holding an extraordinary meeting from June 26th – June 28th 2009 and is expected to be held in St. Kitts.
The Region is also planning Camp 2010, which is also expected to be held in St. Kitts.
