The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams will be moderating next week’s Decision Making session of the Cancer Conference to be held at the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Hotel from the 26th to the 27th of October 2012. The Cancer Conference is being organized by the Section General Public Health within the Collective Prevention Services under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Health Social Development and Labor in collaboration with Cancer Awareness Partners in the Community.
The cancer conference will be distributed over 2 days at the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Hotel. The conference is targeted at Decision Makers, Policy Makers, Health Care Providers, Patients, Family Members and the General Population of the Country. The Cancer Conference will be providing the opportunity to share information, stimulate discussions and planning and to propose a structure to better manage medical services targeting various forms of cancers. The conference will concentrate on Breast, Cervical, Prostate, and Colorectal cancer, providing a platform to share information on the disease and describing the local cancer situation and the steps all sectors within the community are taking to provide treatment and adequate care.
The Prime Minister will also be opening the conference for policy workers and the general public on both days of the conference as well as having a meet and great with speakers on the 25th.
