The Philipsburg Jubilee Library in collaboration with the Ark foundation will once again organize its 3rd and final year of storytelling workshops entitled, "It Takes a Story to Raise a Child".
This remarkable workshop is designed to develop persons in our community with the capability to tell stories and to enhance those persons, who already have some experience in this field.
Mr. Wijnand Stomp, a well known Dutch Antillean, theatrical storyteller in the Netherlands, who specializes in Anansi stories, will be conducting these workshops for the third year.
This storytelling workshop is scheduled to be held from Monday, September 24th to Thursday September 27, 2012 between 5:30 and 9:00pm at the Sundial School. The course fee is only 50 guilders for the entire workshop. After completing all sessions, the participants will be showing off their skills to the general public with their very own storytelling exhibition on September 29, 2012 at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library.
A free preview of Mr. Stomp’s storytelling skills will be showcased on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Cultural Center at 7:30PM. You are welcome to come and see his exciting and interactive storytelling abilities for yourself.
