According to weather reports, heavy rain and winds expected Sunday will probably not come after all, advising that Tropical Storm Ophelia is moving away from St. Maarten and the surrounding islands.

"Participants in the event have been calling all week hoping that the Scavenger Hunt will be going ahead as planned with many expressing disappointment when we said we were considering a postponement," said Manager, Marketing and Sales Mrs. Carmen Lake-Reyes.

‘The Scavenger Hunt is definitely ON this Sunday with some great promotions of company products and services," said Mrs. Lake-Reyes.

This year, in addition to the Scavenger Hunt, TelEm Group is collaborating with Domino’s Pizza in the staging of a Pizza eating contest. The winner of this event will get a chance to be a part of future Internet promotional campaigns with TelEm Group.

This year’s winning Scavenger Hunt team will come away with a fantastic Overall winning prize of $5,000 in cash and other prizes.

Throughout the event TelEm Group will be offering special promotional deals on mobile handsets, DSL Internet packages and 3G mobile and data services to the general public. Last year a record 38 teams competed in the event.

TelEm Group expects the number of entries to once again reach a new high when the Scavenger Hunt takes off as originally planned – Sunday.
