On Tuesday September 20th at approximately 08.40 p.m. several police patrols, detectives, Forensic Department and ambulance dept were directed to Marianna’s Estate for a shooting.
On the scene the then investigating officers encountered the male victim with initials M.M. lying in the yard of his home and who was bleeding from a possible gunshot wound to his back. He stated that he was attacked from behind by an unknown man and shot in his back. The suspect then jumped on a scooter with another man and sped away. The victim at the time could not give any statement to who this suspect is and why this incident took place. The victim was treated on the scene and then transported to the Sint Maarten medical Center where he remains in the Intensive care unit for observation. This investigation is ongoing.
