A fun Scavenger Hunt event by TelEm Group personnel has raised much needed cash for the Love Of Kids Foundation.
On June 26th, TelEm Group Management and personnel donned fun costumes and went on an island-side "treasure hunt" to test their map reading and general knowledge skills.
Personnel turned the event into a fundraiser for a worthy cause and management matched the amount raised by personnel and a little more.
Checks were presented to Love of Kids Foundation president, Mrs. Heather Mercuur, at the TelEm Group main Building, Pond Island, Monday.
"We are very grateful to TelEm Group personnel and management for their efforts. Everyone can be assured that the funds will be well spent," said Mrs. Mercuur.
She said the Foundation has been in existence for the past three years with the aim of bringing attention, awareness and support to parents and children with learning disorders.
"We have worked remarkably well on a very small budget as we bring awareness to the general community as well as children and parents who need expert support," continued Mrs. Mercuur.
Representative of TelEm Group Personnel Association, Abigail Peterson, made the check presentation on behalf of personnel, while Manager, Marketing & Sales Mrs. Carmen Lake-Reyes made a second check presentation on behalf of TelEm Group management.
TelEm Group’s Chief Financial Officer, (CFO) Mrs. Helma Etnel, has congratulated the TelEm Group Personnel Association for organizing the successful Scavenger Hunt event with the assistance of Mr. David McGregor. A total of 15 teams took part this year.
Mrs. Etnel said the event supports management’s team-building and morale boosting efforts with the added bonus this year of a donation to a deserving community group.
The winner of this year’s TelEm Group Scavenger Hunt was: HOTMESS in the Cuckoo’s nest 0317 with Tampax Tyrants 0327 and Old Dutty Bastards 3840 placing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The Most Creative Team award went to the team HOTMESS.
