Police Report:Couple robbed at gunpoint

A couple from the Dominican republic with the initials I.M.P. and P.R.S. filed a report with the Special Robbery Unit on Monday May 30th, stating that earlier that evening after returning home from dinner, they were unexpectedly attacked by four unknown men, two of whom were definitely were armed with handguns.

Both victims tried to escape but were prevented from doing so. The victims were then threatened by the suspects with their weapons, struck several times in their head with these weapons and forced into their home. The house was searched and the victims were asked to hand over the drugs and money. After the victims told the robbers that they had no money and no drugs they fled the scene taking a shoulder bag containing id-card, driver license, a small amount of cash and a cellular telephone belonging to the female victim.

Suspect injures police officers.

A police patrol from the Simpson district on Wednesday at approximately 02.00 a.m., while on a routine patrol in the vicinity of Tropicana Casino, saw two unknown men walking. When these men saw the patrol they immediately took off running. Not trusting the situation the officers decided to stop these men to establish their identity and to investigate why they took off running. These men continued running through the area trying to avoid their apprehension. In the vicinity of Peking Supermarket one of the suspects was caught. This suspect resisted heavily and during his resistance hit one of the officers with a fist in his face and seriously biting both officers on their fingers. The officers however succeeded in overpowering the suspect and putting him into handcuffs. This suspect from Jamaica with the initials G.M. was then transported to the Philipsburg Police station and handed over to the Detective dept. for further investigation. The second suspect was not apprehended. Both police officer were taken to the Medical Center for treatment and then released.
