Police report of Monday, the 21st of July until Wednesday, the 23rd of July2025

In the evening hours of the same day, July 22nd, a patrol spotted a car without brake lights on Mansionweg.
The vehicle then sped off at high speed. As a result, the patrol pursued the car in order to carry out a
check. The vehicle was found at the side of the road on Charles A. Woodley Road.
The officers approached the driver, as he had driven off at high speed. While talking to the driver,
the officers detected a strong odour, presumably of suspected narcotics, coming from the vehicle.
They therefore decided to carry out a check based on the BES Opium Act.
The driver did not agree to this, got into his vehicle and drove off. The vehicle was blocked on
Vincent A. Lopes Road. During the check, the driver again refused to cooperate. A quantity of
suspected narcotics and a kitchen knife were seized from the vehicle. The driver was fined for
violating the BES Opium Act.
