Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labour Hon. Cornelius de Weever and Minister of Education, Culture, Youth & Sports Hon. Silveria Jacobs, will be back in parliament next week February 7 and 8.
The Central Committee of Parliament will meet on Thursday, February 07 at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House of Parliament at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.
This meeting is a continuation of the session that was adjourned on October 8, 2012 with respect to the St. Maarten Medical Center with its impact on social and labour policies.
The meeting was requested by the United People’s (UP) Party faction.
On Friday, February 08 at 10.00am in the morning, the Central Committee will meet with the Hon. Minister Silveria Jacobs. This meeting is a continuation from the adjourned session of January 25, 2013.
The agenda point for the meeting is the present policy on youth and sports. Members of parliament will have the opportunity to pose questions in the second round.
This meeting was requested by the United People’s (UP) Party faction.
Members of the public are always welcome to be present in the General Assembly Chamber during public meetings to follow the parliamentary session scheduled for that particular day.
