First Official Meeting With Curacao Prime Minister Daniel Hodge
The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams departed late Wednesday for Curacao to attend the first official meeting between the Prime Minister of the Transitional Government of Curacao Daniel Hodge and herself.
The Transitional Government of Curacao was officially sworn in on the 2nd of January 2013 with Prime Minister Hodge appointed as Prime Minister. Various items concerning the cooperation and continuation of interactions between the two countries will be discussed during the meeting, including issues related to the Central Bank of Curacao and St. Maarten. Prime Minister Wescot-Williams is expected to return on Thursday.
