The Princess Juliana International Airport has published the Expressions of Interest documents for the new concession plan.
As noted last year, Princess Juliana International Airport Operating Company (PJIAE) together with InterVISTAS Consulting Group has developed a concession plan to increase passenger satisfaction, concessionaire sales and airport income. This includes an overhaul of the existing program and features a walk-through duty-free store and a central food court. PJIA currently has 22 retail and seven food & beverage concessions pre- and post-security.
The new concession program is being publicly tendered in a two-phase process. An Expression of Interest (EOI) phase will run from 8 to 24 January 2013. A Request for Proposal (RFP) phase with short-listed candidates will follow from 5 February to 25 March (timings to be confirmed).
There are 24 concession packages, one for each individual concession, ranging from a 1,000sq. meter large walk-through duty-free store to landside food & beverage concessions. Parties may express their interest in multiple packages.
The EOI documents are available for download from the PJIA website at www.pjiae.com.
