The WIB St. Eustatius Auto Show proved to be once more a success. Eight vehicle loans were approved, 2 cash sales on vehicles, and a personal loan approved at the show.
In addition there are 6 vehicles pending sales that were left behind. In total there were 31 vehicles that were shipped to St. Eustatius on board the vessel Mutty Pride N.V. that Indedependent Shipping Agency in Marigot coordinated with great success.
Only sixteen of these vehicles returned to St. Maarten. There were also demands of a particular brand and color that might not have been on our visit that our business partners will have to re-schedule as follow-up shipping.
WIB Personal Loans and Mortgages reps proved to be efficient in expediting the loan applications in a timely manner over the weekend and by Monday the vehicles were held back for those loans approved conditionally.
Kooyman exhibited a cross section of floor tiles and Kitchen displays.
While City Furniture showcased and sold some of there recliner chairs, sofas, and beds.
Fun Miles brought in the fun with their fun teamers soliciting clients purchase a fun mile card package and get a chance to spin the wheel for a prize. Fifty seven fun miles card packages were sold and 43 cards were linked to their WIB Bankomatiko Smartcards.
Entertainment consisted of the islands own DJ that played an assortment of great tunes for the two days.
The Bounce & Jump Around Rentals were a great treat for the children. Not forgetting the adults that enjoyed popcorn, cotton candy, and hot dogs. The food and beverages were excellent represented by local chefs and bartenders with great smoothies.
The WIB St. Eustatius Auto Show helped stimulate the sales of our business partner, WIB and was also an economic stimulant for St. Eustatius as well. Twenty five persons were lodged for 2 to 3 nights and 5 rental vehicles were rented. Nightly local restaurants were visited as well.
The St. Eustatius Auto Show brings joy and accomplishment. I love to see the interest of the people on the island as the ship docks and starts the off loading process. Our night time motorcade with happy volunteers to bring all 31 vehicles to the venue location under police escort was a fun drive as well.
