Custom officer arrested

On Sunday November 12th at approximately 04.30 a.m. a police patrol was directed to Blue Sky/ Carolina Night Club to investigate a case whereby a man had been threatening the security officers of that establishment with a fire arm.

On the scene the security officer with the initials G.A.C. explained to the investigating officers, that during a discussion he and other security officers were threatened by the suspect with a handgun. He further stated that he managed to disarm the suspect before he could use the weapon. After disarming the suspect the weapon was kept in a safe area for the arrival of the police. The weapon which was fully armed was confiscated by police for further investigation. The suspect who was still on the scene refused to cooperate with investigating officers by not giving his name. The officers later identified the suspect as a Custom officer with initials L.E.G. The suspect was arrested on the spot and taken to the Philipsburg Police Station. At the police station the suspect again refused to cooperate with investigation and was held for questioning.
