On Monday July 11th a routine general control was held by a unit from the Zero-Tolerance team in the Dutch Quarter area.
During this control a vehicle with three occupants and with license plate 867ZB971 was stopped to be controlled. While controlling this vehicle the driver could not show a drivers license and a strong marihuana scent was coming from the car. All three suspects with the initials A.R., G.M and B.L. from the French side were detained. During a search of the vehicle a silver colored pistol and ten (10) 9mm caliber bullets were found along with a machete and a switch blade. All three suspects were arrested on the spot and weapons were confiscated for further
investigation. The suspects were handed over to the Narcotics and Fire-arm Department.
