Recently Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland (RCN) closed an agreement with Medwork Caribbean N.V. to provide a wide range of healthcare services. Medwork is a company with roots in Aruba which provides services for corporate health care and labour conditions.
Director-partner, Ru Croes of Medwork, recently discussed the execution of the contract on Bonaire on May 24th with RCN Director, Sybren van Dam (see photo). During the meeting the developments in the areas of preventative and curative care were also discussed. A meeting was also held with RCN Human Resource Adviseurs with regards to the planning of the responsibilities and the future demands and needs for healthcare services.
Besides healthcare services Medwork will also carry out the medical examination of RCN personnel. This medical examination is required in order to participate in the Pensionfonds Caribisch Nederland (PCN). The examinations will take place on Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius.
RU Croes confirmed during the talks that at the RCN there exists a warm interest for healthcare and preventative care and that the need for this is clearly recognized. David Geelkens of Medwork: "the systematic care for a pleasant and safe work environment where the roles and responsibilities of the employer and the employee are clear has a big positive effect on "job satisfaction and can lead to the motivation and performance of the personnel of the organization".
Sybren van Dam said he is confident about a professional and good cooperation between RCN and Medwork.
