AUDIO AVAILABLE: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs launched its "Get off the Block, Get on the Bus, Get Busy (GB3)" project on Friday February 25th 2011.
With a catchy jingle and modern logo GB3 will attempt to attract youth ages 13-25 to an intervention where all the individuals will have the support to re-evaluate themselves, their lives and their direction.
Department of Youth Acting Head and GB3 organising committee chairperson Shermina Powell-Richardson elaborated on the project’s objectives: primarily the reduction of violence, along with poverty alleviation, second chance education and rehabilitation of young offenders. The target groups are women ages 30-40 and boys and men ages 13-25.
