The SIMVA 2010 Volleyball Competition moves into high gear when the semifinals start on Wednesday night at the L. B. Scot Sports Auditorium.
The play offs will be a best out of three matches where the number 1 placed meet the number 4 and the number 2 meets the number 3 placed after two rounds of play. The winner will continue to the best of five finals.
In the women’s division we have the undefeated Guess Who playing against Go For It and Nitro against Super Six. Head Coach of Guess Who, Clevie Arrindell, is intentioned to go straight thru to the championship with an unbeaten record but Go For It captain Valerie Damaseau says that they will do their utmost to derail those plans. In teh other semifinal Nitro will not have an easy task against the experienced veterans of Super Six. Both teams feel that they have a great chance to go to the finals but as they say, they are taking it one game at a time.
In the men’s division we have the young guns of United playing the Babylons and Reptiles facing off with Go For It. United feels that this is the year for them to shine but the Babylons say they are going to put some law and order in place to contain the heavy hitters of United. Lead by Paul Quellery Reptiles will come out full throttle to finish the semifinals in two games but Go For It skipper Jerrol James has other ideas and plan to go all the way.
