On Sunday November 7th 2010, the Lab Sports Academy Foundation in collaboration with the Bear foot restaurant successfully hosted the 4th Annual Harbor to Pier Swim Challenge.
A total of 30 swimmers took part in this event coming from the No Limits swim team, the Carib Swim team, the Super splash swim team the Lab Sports Academy and several public and private Swim groups on St. Maarten.
The event was divided in four Categories:
1. Advance swimmers.
2. Competition swimmers members of a swim team.
3. Recreation Beginners swimmers.
4. Recreational grown ups.
The event started 7:00 AM sharp, to avoid boat traffic in the bay area. In such events safety comes first. We had support from The Coast Guard, the Sheriff security, Mr. Apon canoeing crew, and the Red Cross.
A BIG thank you goes out to Mr. Keith Franka and Mr. Phelipa for the use of the Harbor area.
Also Thank you to Mr. Ernest Illis for transporting of all the swimmers to the Harbor. Last but not least we thank the sponsors for making this event possible.

RESULTS of this event are as follows:
1. In the advance Category we had two participant:
Name Stuart Knaggs and Theodora.
Stuart was forced to changed his role from competitive swimmers to Safety controller.
In this same category from the coast guard was Mr. Theodora, international swimmer could not be present due to unforeseen circumstances.
2. Competition swimmers members of a swim team.
Winner 1st Place: Steven Cloose. 14:min
2nd Place: Naomi Korstanje. 14: 15
3. Beginners Category: 1st Place King Ozkan. 20:03 Min
2nd Place Leshawn Brown. 22:45 Min
4. Recreational Category: 1st Place: Mary Wiggle 22:50 Min.
2nd Place: Eldert Louisa.
In the place of the advance category a super beginner’s category has been put in place for a job well done as a SUPER beginner:
1st Place Quair Hodge.
2nd Place Freya Knaggs.
All winners have received trophies.
All other participants received a T Shirt and snack from the sponsor Bare Foot Restaurant.
