The Cay Bay power plant is experiencing mechanical problems with three engines, namely #7, #12 and #17 causing a shortage of 18 MW. Since GEBE has been operating on a very tight electricity production schedule, the loss has resulted in load shedding.
A load shedding schedule is being made available. This schedule is subject to change, therefore updates will be posted continuously as they become available on the GEBE website at www.nvgebe.com.
