Island Council Lady Mrs.Sarah Wescot-Williams, questions invitation for a trip to Holland

In an email recieved Island Council Lady Mrs.Sarah Wescot-Williams, questions a recent email invitation she recieved from the Executive Council of St.Maarten, to go on a trip to Holland. She is quoted saying ”I am still at a loss as to what, who or how. Just in the event, it is later said I refused to "tag along".

Below is the letter in which she sent to the Executive Council of St.Maarten:

Executive Council of Sint Maarten

Philipsburg, Sint Maarten.

October 19, 2009

Honorable Council,

On October 16th I received by email a travel itinerary for a trip to the Netherlands, departing on October 31st and returning on November 4th.

It is totally baffling to me that this information is forwarded to me and absolutely no further information or elucidation is provided.

This lack of decorum prompts me to formally ask the following of the Executive Council:

1. What is the purpose of this trip?

2. What is the make-up of the delegation?

3. What is the program for this trip to the Netherlands?

4. What role –if any- do I have as part of a St. Maarten delegation?

I look forward to a speedy reply,

Respectfully submitted.

Sarah Wescot-Williams

Member of the island Council of Sint Maarten
