Local education has always benefited greatly from NAGICO’s corporate sponsorships. This trend was continued on Wednesday 8th July, 2009 as 4 (four) students from the Milton Peters College (M.P.C) became the latest beneficiaries of the insurance company’s sponsorship and donations program.
NAGICO has agreed to cover the Travel Insurance costs of the Ms. Luz Divina Jano, Ms. Genevieve van de L’Isle, Tishelle Daniel and Denecia Meade, as they prepare to attend a Youth Leadership Summit being held in the Netherlands.
The Summit that takes place between July 18th and July 25th 2009 was organized by the United World Colleges for young persons to become educated and responsible citizens through the development of areas such as political and environmental awareness. Ms. Luz Divina Jano stated, "It is wonderful that NAGICO was able to provide sponsorship for this event. This Youth Leadership Summit will provide us with the tools to develop ourselves to not only to become better leaders but better persons." The Youth Summit is being held for its 5th (fifth) year and has over its short life, garnered support from persons such as Nelson Mandela.
