Nurse Roseta Riley, Head nurse Ms. Naomi Wilson and Mrs. Lisette Peterson-Riley
Mrs. Lisette Peterson-Riley and Ms. Rosetta Riley recently received their diploma’s making them fully qualified nurses. Both ladies started their course and training on St. Maarten in December 2006 and in January 2009 they received their diplomas and is back at home rendering their services to the community of Saba in a more professional manner.
Both ladies told the SNA that it has been a very hectic and stressful time for them but they can safely say that it paid of at the end. We are forever grateful to our families for being there for us at all times. It was not easy being away from the ones you love so much and at the same time have to study hard in order to make it. During the past two years we have done all of our trainings etc. on St. Maarten and Curacao and we are also grateful for the many instructors that assisted us along the way.
We are happy to be back home amongst our families, relatives, colleagues and friends and we are doing our utmost best to carry out what we have been able to achieve and learn. With all of the changes that will be coming to the island we have made sure to upgrade ourselves and we are ready for the changes and we would want to encourage all others to follow in our footsteps to achieve their goal.
Mrs. Lisette Peterson-Riley is a former student and graduate of the Saba Comprehensive School and always wanted to follow in the footsteps of her mother head nurse of the A. M. Edward’s Medical Center Ms. Naomi Wilson.
Both Mrs. Peterson-Riley and Ms. Riley said that they enjoyed every moment of their studies and they will never forget the good cooperation that they received from their follow colleagues from St. Maarten and St. Eustatius that went through the whole training. We did it as a team and thank God we have all been successful.
