St. Martin and Eastern Caribbean Pony League’s Joe Brown selected to umpire Pony World Series games in Monterey California.
After umpiring the Pony Eastern Caribbean Girls Softball games hosted by the St. Martin Pony League in February 2005 he did such a good job that officials of Pony East Zone selected him to umpire Girls Softball Games in Vianna, Ohio where he officiated as chief umpire in a tournament with over 250 teams playing on 5 fields simultaneously. After that he umpire Caribbean Zone Baseball games in Caguas, Villa Blanca, Toa Baja and Juncos Puerto Rico. Brown also officiated many Pony youth baseball in various cities of the Dominican Republic. During the 2008 Pony Caribbean Zone Baseball Series held in Panama Umpire Joe Brown made St. Martin proud when he was selected as chief umpire for the final game of Caribbean Zone Series. Brown did a fantastic job behind the plate. He did such a good job that Pony President and CEO took note of such during the recently held Caribbean Zone Meeting in Puerto Rico and has selected Joe Brown to officiate world series games in California U.S.A. Brown will be leaving for the USA at the end of July 2009 however before going to the USA Brown will be umpiring in the upcoming Pony Caribbean Zone Girls Softball Tournament to be held on St. Maarten / St. Martin.
