Work on the under ground cabling project is progressing well and the company Rake and Scrape N.V. is carrying out the work. The construction group is now busy cutting up the side of the road leading from St. John’s to The Bottom. The contractor is doing his utmost best to carry out the work as fast as possible especially knowing that it is the only road leading from The Bottom to the other villages and it can cost some traffic congestion but they are requesting all motorist to cooperate as much as possible in order for them to be able to carry out the work. Several motorist are complaining but they have to realize that there is work being carried out and that there will be traffic jams but once the construction is completed this would be a big solution, as all utility cables will be underground. Electricity cables, telephone cables and Cable television cables are all being placed underground.
