NAGICO celebrated the opening of its new Bonaire branch on Friday September 19th, by hosting a cocktail party for the islandâ??s business and government leaders.
NAGICO CEO McSood Amjad spoke at the opening. He said, "The opening of Bonaire is a consolidation of our business presence in the Dutch Caribbean, it has been a missing link for some time and I am proud that we can now say weâ??ve completed this circle." It is very important that Bonaireans be a part of our NAGICO family since the roots of NAGICO are very firmly planted in the Dutch Caribbean. "
He emphasized that the expansion of NAGICO to other islands is one of the strategies for the coming year.
The Bonaire branch which is headed by Shanon Henry, Curacao and Bonaire Manager is located at the corner of Kaya Gilberto Betico Croes. The office will offer a wide range of NAGICO Insurance products including general insurance for home motor and property as well as medical insurance and liability to name a few.
Shanon Henry commented, "With this entry into Bonaire, we are going to offer the Bonaire market a true one stop shop for all their Insurances. Bonaire will benefit from the very strong and solid background NAGICO has in general insurances, medical and the recently added LIFE products which form the full NAGICO Insurance portfolio. Just as we do in our other operations weâ??ll be focusing on tailor made solutions for every need and every life cycle."
He added, "We have developments in Store for Bonaire, by the beginning of next year weâ??ll be fully on the market with LIFE Insurance for the Bonaire office."
At the moment there are two faces which will conduct business on the ground for NAGICO Bonaire; these are Account manager Gielbert Rondei and Customer Service Representative Undine Pourier.
Undine previously worked with Fatum. She said, "My promise to the Bonaire customer is fast and efficient service with attention to detail. I have an 11 year background in a customer care, which even though it was in the health field still emphasized the importance of attending to the client needs and ensuring satisfaction, that is what I bring to the NAGICO office here."
Account Manager Gielbert Rondei has a track record in direct sales, administration and accounting, this is a valuable combination of skills which will be very useful in the day to day management of the Bonaire office. The most important part of Rondeiâ??s responsibility will be to pull in all the new business.
Rondei is looking forward to growing the NAGICO Bonaire portfolio. He said, "At the moment Bonaire is in the middle of a boom and the people would also welcome change and a new player. They also want good service and that is what they will get here at NAGICO. In addition to good service weâ??re a strong and dynamic company with young and responsive staff and our wide product range is very attractive for the public NAGICO Bonaire, couple that with the full backing of NAGICO Curacao, weâ??ll be a force to reckon with in the market.
Claims processing will be supported by the Curacao office, with the client contact being handled by Bonaireâ??s office. Client policies will be written directly by the Bonaire office, they can however rely on the expertise on the entire Curacao team. There will bi-weekly visits by Manager Shanon and other members of the team as needed.
