Emergency Fire Dept. #919 Remains Operational despite Relocation of department

Disaster Coordinator and Fire Commander Clive Richardson, said on Thursday that despite the department’s relocation to the Government Administration Building (GAB) on Pond Island, the first responder emergency #919 remains the same for emergency calls.

The Fire Department will be relocating temporarily to the GAB due to renovations that will be taking place at the Fire & Ambulance Department Building in Cay Hill.

The Fire Department Offices in Cay Hill will be closed to the public as of 12.00pm on Friday, December 20 in order to allow for the relocation to take place to the GAB.

The Fire Department Offices will reopen to the public on Pond Island at the GAB on Friday, December 27.

“I would like to apologize to the public for any inconvenience that this relocation may cause, and I thank the community for their understanding.

“May you and your family all have a safe and happy Christmas holiday season from all of us here at the department,” Disaster Coordinator Clive Richardson told the Department of Communication (DCOMM) on Friday.
