CPS gives out prizes to Breastfeeding Photo Competition Winners

From August 1st-7th, was World Health Organization (WHO) & World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (W.A.B.A) annual breastfeeding week.

 

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS), Section Youth Health Care held its 4th breastfeeding photo competition, and there were seven entrees.  The prize giving ceremony was held at CPS Section Youth Health Care on Friday, 27th September 2019.

 

The goal of the competition was to enhance the beauty surrounding breastfeeding, and to encourage mothers and enlighten them about the importance of breastfeeding.

 

The winners were: 1st place Jessica Challenger; 2nd place Chalmarie Vlaun; 3rd place Orianda Hoendervangers; and a complimentary prize went to Dahshiki Jones.

 

CPS Section Youth Health Care would like to express a special thankyou to several sponsors who donated several wonderful prizes: Artistic Drive, Divi Little Bay, Holland House, Indulgence by the Sea, and Boolchands/Pandora.

 

CPS Section Youth Health Care also expresses a thank you to their judges Loic Bryan, Charmaine Wilson, and Regina Janga, and to the staff of CPS.

 

The 2019 theme of World Breastfeeding Week was “Empower Parents, Enable Breastfeeding.”  This international theme was chosen to be inclusive of all types of parents in today’s world with the focus on supporting both parents to be empowered which is vital in order to realize their breastfeeding goals.
