The Venezuela coach for the 2015 Pony Caribbean Zone youth baseball champions will now be assisting the St. Martin Pony League. Coach Jose Perez played as a pro ball player in the Mexican League the Venezuelan League and the Pacific League. Coach Jose’s Venezuela team captured the Pony Caribbean Zone Championship by defeating the strong team of Puerto Rico by a 12 – 2 knockout in the finals after trailing with a 2 – 0 in the fourth inning. Jose is a well respected coach and is considered by many as the best coach in the Pony League. Coach Jose’s mission will be to improve the baseball and girls softball level of St. Martin.
Coach Jose is expected on St. Martin in the first week of December.
