Police update

Over the last two weeks with the reinforcement of the 10 extra persons to assist the local police force (K.P.S.M.) in ongoing investigation, has shown very positive results. The 10 extra persons were provided by the Police forces of Aruba and Curacao, the Kingdom Detectives and the Royal Marechaussee. During these two weeks period a total of six persons were arrested. The last two arrests were made on Monday November 9th. During this arrest a male suspect with the initials A.M.G. (34) was arrested suspected of an armed robbery in Almond Grove which took place on September 15th 2015.

A second suspect with the initials A.H. (25) in the same case was arrested in the morning hours on November 13th. Both suspects remain in custody for further investigation. More arrests in connection with other armed robberies and other ongoing investigations will take place in the near future.

In regard to the ongoing murder investigations the Police Department is expecting to make a break-through in some of these cases soon, however they are appealing to the public to assist them in giving more information in connection with the murder case of S. Moreno also known as “Memo” which took place on Sunday October 18th at approximately 09.05 a.m. in Simpson bay at La Palapa complex.
