It has been brought to the union attention that the management of the Telem group of company’s is still in talks with the group from surnames company in connection with the fiber project. Telem group of company is still in process of hire these outsider without following the proper procedure of opening bid for the fiber projects.
The union is of the opinion that management is working hard behind the seen to get thesegroup of surnames work permits sign. In the mean time most of the fiber projects were postpone on the island. It looks like the management of the telem group of companies are safeguarding the projects until the group of surnames return with their documents in order. There is also a rumor that the owner of the surnames company is Mrs. Etnel half brother from Suriname.
The union has not receive any answer for the meeting that was requested with the prime minister, but the union intention is to resent the letter to the prime minister with a copy to the ombudsman.
