CIA/LU dominates the first round of the Female High School Soccer Competition “Next round will take place this Saturday 22nd of November”

After a few cancelations due to hurricane and flooding, the schools were able to continue the matches of the Female High School Soccer Competition on Saturday 15th November. Teams played in a 9 v 9 set up on the field at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex. The games started with St. Dominic High School versus Milton Peters (MPC) in which MPC managed to score one goal made by Rishendra Carty. At the same time Caribbean International Academy/ Learning Unlimited (CIA/LU) made 4 goals against Sundial. Although Sundial proved to be very strong in the defense line, it was Daricia Arrindell who managed to move past her opponents and scored 4 goals for CIA/LU. The games continued with MPC vs. CIA/LU and both teams showed that overall they have a strong team. CIA/LU scored 4 goals (Arrindell) and Carty made another goal for MPC. Another team with a better defensive play was Methodist Agogic Centre (MAC). They battled it out against Sundial and both managed to keep the score to a 0-0 tie. Last game of the night was played by St. Dominic against MAC in which St. Dominic in the very last minutes managed to score a goal made by Katherine Quispe.

First round of the Female High School Competition, which is organized by the Oualichi Women’s Soccer Association, concluded with CIA/LU at the top of the leaderboard. All schools played against each other once. Second round of matches will be held on Saturday, 22nd of November at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex . The teams will again play against each school once and the last round will determine who will proceed to the finals to compete for the first, second and third place of the Female High School Soccer Competition.
