Story time features Alzheimer’s disease and Family this Saturday at the Library

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library will be hosting its monthly, Saturday, story time at 11:00am on Saturday, January 25.

Every last Saturday of the month, the library conducts story time sessions for visiting children. This Saturday’s, storyteller, Joseanne Peterson, will be reading from one of the library’s children’s books called "Singing with Momma Lou" by Linda Jacobs Altman. In recognition of Alzheimer’s month, this Saturday’s story will show how nine-year-old Tamika uses photographs, school yearbooks, movie ticket stubs, and other mementos to try to restore the memory of her grandmother, who has Alzheimer’s disease.

After story time, children will make their very own family tree and also do an Alzheimer awareness activity. For more information please contact Maryland at the library by calling telephone number 542-2970.
