Central Committee with Marine Sector to Continue on Thursday

There is a Central Committee session of Parliament on October 24 with the St. Maarten Marine Trades Association (SMMTA).

The Central Committee session is on Thursday at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

 

The Central Committee session is a continuation of the meeting that was last held on March 20, 2013, which was postponed.

The agenda points for the session are: survival and growth of the marine industry on Sint Maarten as it relates to, immigration/visa policies; the Simpson Bay Lagoon Authority; and the overall economy of the island and other marine related issues.

This meeting was requested by M.F. Ferrier, on behalf of the SMMTA in a letter dated December 17, 2012.

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations.

The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.

The parliamentary session will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 120, via Pearl Radio FM 98.1, the audio via the Internet www.pearlfmradio.com, and also via www.sxmparliament.org.
