Seven newly recruited teachers from the Netherlands recently signed their contracts at the Sint Maarten House, The Hague, in the presence of the Executive Director of SVOBE Drs. Joseph Rogers and the General Director of Milton Peters College (MPC) and Sundial School Wim de Visser. Minister Plenipotentiary Hon. Mathias Voges was also present for the signing.

Minister Voges gave a short history about Sint Maarten and encouraged the teachers to get involved in youth community projects on the island during their tenure.

Rogers and Visser traveled to the Netherlands in search of teachers for MPC and Sundial School for the subjects M&M, Dutch, English, French and Cultural Arts. They carried out a number of interviews in the Soualiga Room at the Sint Maarten House, a service rendered by Minister Plenipotentiary to Government institutions and Sint Maarten Non-Governmental Organizations.
