The School Bus Section Inspection hereby informs the public that three designated school bus holding areas exist in Philipsburg, and motorists are not allowed to park in those areas.
The three designated holding areas in Philipsburg are Cannegieter Street, across from the GEBE Customer Service Building; Cannegieter Street in front of the Sister Borgia Primary School; and Sundial School, across from the Social Health and Insurance SZV Building.
The designated areas allows for the safe loading and unloading of school children and at the same time it allows for the free flow of traffic.
Motorists are hereby advised to cooperate by not parking in those areas, or suffer the consequences of being fined and your vehicle being towed away.
The Inspection Department is also asking school bus drivers to take note of the following, that they should follow their routes accordingly and avoid using private roads and detours.
