President Samuel to meet colleagues from Aruba and Curacao on Monday

Upon the initiative of the President of Parliament Hon. drs. Rodolphe Samuel, a meeting with the Presidents of Parliament of Aruba drs. Pauldrick (Paul) Croes and President of Parliament of Curacao drs. Marcolino (Mike) Franco, will take place on Monday.

The main goal of this tri-partite president of parliament meeting is to bring the Parliaments of the Caribbean part of the Kingdom on the same page, and also promote cooperation between these Parliaments.

 

Definite decisions won’t be taken during these discussions.

During this meeting a variety of subjects will be discussed such as the upcoming Inter-parliamentary Kingdom Consultation that will take place in The Hague from March 5-8; the 200 years existence of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the establishment of regular consultations between the Parliaments of Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten as well as cooperation on committee level between the Parliaments.

The Presidents of Parliament of both Aruba and Curaçao will also pay courtesy calls to the Prime Minister Hon. Sarah Wescott-Williams and His Excellency the Governor drs. Eugene Holiday.
