Betty-Anne Gilbert is Grenada’s first-ever Honorary Consul in St. Kitts and Nevis

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS(CUOPM) – The Government of Grenada has appointed its first-ever Honorary Consul for Grenada in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

She is Grenada-born Ms. Ms. Betty-Ann J. Gilbert, a Grenadian by birth, has been living in St Kitts and Nevis for the last twelve (12) years.

 

Ms. Gilbert is currently the Owner and Managing Director of Innovative Transport Services Limited and Dynamic Distributors Limited.

As Grenada’s Honorary Consul she will have "full powers and authority to aid and protect citizens of Grenada trading in, visiting or residing in St. Kitts and Nevis" as stated in her Commission of Appointment issued by the Honourable Tillman Thomas, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Grenada.

Ms. Gilbert sees serving as Honorary Consul as "the continuation of my mission to serve my people". She is humbled by the opportunity given to serve her country and looks forward to maintaining excellent relations with the Government and People of St. Kitts and Nevis and hopes that her appointment will serve to strengthen and enhance the bonds of friendship that exist between both countries.
