Career fair and panel discussion among events to mark International Customs Day

Visits to schools, a panel discussion and a fun day are among events planned by customs officers to celebrate a week of activities to mark International Customs Day.

"Customs officials visit to selected schools including the Immaculate Conception Catholic School and share relevant information during the regular morning assemblies on Monday," said Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.

He told the congregation that a Panel Discussion on ZIZ Television on Wednesday 23rd January to highlight the plans and programmes of the Customs and Exercise Department and discussion of the roles and responsibilities of Customs. This will be rebroadcasted on Thursday on the Nevis TV Channel.

On Thursday 24th Customs officials will share in the Career Fair of the Cayon High School and on Friday 25th is T-Shirt Day and work day exchange of Customs Officers across the two islands.

"Also on this day Officers will be visiting the Cardin Home on St. Kitts and the Flamboyant Home for Elders on Nevis and will serve meals to the residents," said Prime Minister Douglas.
