PM Douglas promises St. Kitts and Nevis will continue to be a shining example

Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas said Tuesday his Labour Party Administration will continue to build on its track record of accomplishments.

"Even with all that is so positive, and all that is so progressive, about St. Kitts and Nevis at this, however, we still have to be realistic," said Prime Minister Douglas during his weekly radio "Ask the Prime Minister."

He told listeners there are persons who would have liked their parties to be elected to form the Government in 2010, but this did not happen.

"And so, they are totally focused on finding ways to be able to ignore the choice of the people in 2010. It would be unrealistic to expect them to praise – or even acknowledge – the extraordinary accomplishments of the Government that they wish to replace. But our accomplishments stand on their own," said Prime Minister Douglas.

"They are there for all to see, and the benefits will be held for generations to come. As long as the people of St. Kitts and Nevis remain aware; and as long as we, the Government, continue to build on our accomplishments, clearing the way for Kittitians and Nevisians, socially, economically, and politically, St. Kitts and Nevis will continue to be the shining example that it has been. This is the start of a new term," he said.
