Governing Program Launch now set for January 16

 

The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams confirms that the launching of the Governing Program, which was scheduled for Wednesday, the 9th of January, has been postponed due to the absence of three key Ministers. The Prime Minister stated earlier that the launch might be postponed due to the absence of the ministers who would be presenting at the launch. The new date set for the launch is January 16.

The launching of the Governing Program will feature presentations from each Minister about the elements from their respective Ministries laid out in the Governing Program. There will also be opportunities for invited guests to interact with each Minister to discuss the various programs and projects that are outlined in the GP.

The Prime Minister will also be presenting a copy of the Governing Program to the Governor of St. Maarten His Excellency Eugene Holiday and to President of Parliament the Hon. Rodolphe E. Samuel.

Some one hundred guests are expected to attend the official launching of the Governing Program. The launch will also feature updates on various social media sites and extensive coverage to inform the public of St. Maarten of the content of the program.
