RCN organizes training Civil service status and Benefits Caribbean Netherlands

On December 4th, 5th & 6th 2012 the Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland (RCN) organized a training on Bonaire, in the field of general laws and regulations ((Training Civil service status and Benefits Caribbean Netherlands). The training was attended by members of the Human Resource Departments of RCN, the Public Entities of Bonaire, Saba and Statia and a law firm. Sybren van Dam, director of RCN, presented the certificates to the participants.

 

In the training amongst others topics in the field of employment, the system of consultation between employers and employees and general civil law were discussed. Issues regarding recruitment, selection and appointment of staff and guiding employees in their functioning were also discussed elaborately. Reward instruments and rights and obligations of employees were discussed as well. The group of HR consultants was further trained in the field of disciplinary processes.

As a major employer on the island, RCN considers it essential that knowledge and information is offered to a wide audience. This is a good example of cooperation between the central government, local government and the public sector. Director of RCN, Sybren van Dam: "Cooperation of various government organizations is in the interests of citizens and society. This joint program is a good example.
