Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary assist Chamber Delegation at Inter Expo Economic Mission

The Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary in The Hague assisted the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry who attended a recent Inter Expo Economic Mission 2012 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

The Chamber’s delegation comprised of its Chairman of the Board, Arthur Bute and its Director, Claret Connor in this match making session supported by Perry Geerlings, Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary in the Hague. The St. Maarten delegation conducted various match making sessions during the Inter Expo Mission.

During the match making session the Chamber delegation was able to discuss in more details the business opportunities St. Maarten has to offer.

The matchmaking sessions allowed parties interested in doing business in St. Maarten to be informed in more details about regulations, requirements, but also about the needs of the St. Maarten economy.

The Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary was supportive to the mission of the Chamber delegation and would like to emphasize that one of the functions of the cabinet is to render support in all possible ways to all ministries, government departments and (business) organizations of St. Maarten on their trips to the Netherlands and Europe.

The support can be rendered in all forms, such as personnel support, research and mediation, Deputy Director Perry Geerlings said on Sunday.

"We are the extended arm of the St. Maarten government and society if required, and we hope that more use will be made of the opportunities and services we can render," Geerlings told the Department of Communications (DCOMM) on Sunday.
