On Thursday, November 8, 2012 the Middle Region and Defiance Community Council is holding their election for a new board. This election will take place at the Sister Marie Laurence School in Middle Region from 5.00pm – 8.00pm. The new board will be elected for a period of two years and they will take office on January 1, 2013.
The dead line for the nomination process is Thursday, October 25, 2012. Person interested in serving on the board may complete the form for nomination that can be found at any of the local supermarkets in Middle Region. After completing the nomination form you may give it to any of the members mentioned below or send it to mr****@ho*****.com: le***********@ho*****.com; ac***@ho*****.com.
Any person who has reached the age of 18 and is living in Middle Region or Defiance can be nominated to serve on the board in any of the positions. All the positions on the board are open, from board members to the President.
Eligible voters must have reached the age of eighteen and living in Middle Region or Defiance. On the day of the election these voters must be able to provide proof of their address in Middle Region and Defiance. This proof must be one of the following documents or a combination of them but they must not be older than six months.
1. Registration form from the Census Office.
2. Utility bill with their name and address.
3. Legal document with the resident name and address.
4. A letter from an established company with your name and address.
