Prime Minister Continues with Zumba Despite Stormy Weather

Despite stormy conditions the Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams decided to continue with hosting the Pink Zumba Session in front of the Government Administration building last Friday.

 

The PM, joined by a handful of civil servants and members of the community, braved the rain and wind to take part in the special Zumba session commemorating breast cancer awareness month. A walk-a-thon as also scheduled for Saturday evening but due to the passing of Tropical Storm Raphael the activity, also centered on Breast Cancer Awareness Month, was postponed to a later date.

The Prime Minister initiated the Zumba sessions as part of the U 2 Can Move Campaign centered on physical fitness. The PM Launched the U 2 Can Move campaign for civil servants and members of the community to move away from sedentary lives and focus more on getting active and staying fit. Prime Minister Wescot-Williams encouraged the whole community to take part in the free Zumba sessions held every Friday in front of the Government administration Building.
