The Honorable Minister Pantophlet in his quest to continue stimulating the South American market, requested to have a TV program about St. Maarten produced.
The "Rest of the World " program, is shown on Channel 13 in Argentina, one of Argentina’s top TV stations, and is hosted by Mr. Ivan de Pineda Gualdoni, who is also one of South America’s most famous supermodels and face of both Dior and Gucci. The program will be shown in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and South Brazil. It has a viewership of 8 million persons of which 3 million are in Argentina. There will be 2, 30 minute programs produced, which will be shown for about a month .There exist the possibility of expanding to 3 months. South America is a crucial market for St. Maarten as they provide much needed business during the Low Season.
