The St. Maarten Nature Foundation was alerted to the presence of dying fish in the Rolandus Canal Recently. Upon arrival it was noticed that a large number of fish were in very shallow water close to where Works were being conducted on the Rolandus Canal. It was soon determined that the fish were dying due to a lack of oxygen in the area. Windward Roads assisted with transporting all of the fish safely to a more suitable location. In the picture a worker from Windward Roads is removing smaller fish with a bucket to transport to a safer location.
